Greg Hannan

Founder and Principal Consultant

Greg is a senior engineering and business leader with over twenty years of experience in the energy sector. He has held senior management positions within the Victorian distribution industry, as well as senior roles in government and has also served as a local councillor in his community.

He commenced his career working in power system and energy market roles and has extensive experience working for regulated gas and distribution network businesses as well as the transmission sector. He is motivated to help customers build a distributed, affordable and secure Australian energy system. 

Greg has completed bachelor and postgraduate studies in Science, Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (with Honours), Public Policy and Management and in 2025 completed the Strategic Management Executive Programme at the Saïd Business School of Oxford University. 

He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Outside of work his interests include spending time with his boys, cricket, astronomy and fishing at some of his favourite ocean beaches.
